How do you best approach such a diverse destination when so many unique activities are available? These are the best ways to start for Inspirato members.
Sunset on Haleakala. Instead of waking at 2:00 a.m. to join hundreds of other visitors to catch the sunrise atop Maui's famous volcano, Haleakala, we recommend a view just as stunning: the Haleakala sunset. On the drive to the top, make sure you appreciate the sweeping views of the island. You may want to arrive with enough time to take a swim, as your park pass will include use of the Seven Sacred Pools. We suggest you hang around to see the thousands of stars that seem to be at your fingertips.
Surfin' Safari. Don't let Maui Surfer Girls' name mislead you. Both men and women participate in their surf classes, and their student-to-teacher ratio is hard to beat. Learn some basic Hawaiian language and board technique before hitting the waves.
Swing like a Champ. You can play three championship courses just minutes away at the Wailea Golf Club's Emerald, Gold and Old Blue Courses. Forecasting Your Wailea Vacation
Year-round highs linger in the 80s, while the lows rarely dip below a pleasant 63 degrees. Gentle trade winds maintain a comfortable beachfront breeze. When you leave the beach, you'll likely encounter one of Maui's numerous microclimates. The island's leeward (downwind) side is generally less humid, while on the windward (upwind) side of the island, you'll find a wetter climate that's home to earthly ecosystems that are uniquely Hawaiian.
