The Riviera Maya is located on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula between Playa del Carmen and Cancún. From Cancún International Airport (CUN), Hotel Esencia is a one-hour drive. If you don't rent a car, your Member Care team can arrange for private transportation to and from the airport. Taxis are also readily available at the airport.
 

A rental car isn't necessary as taxi and private transportation are readily available, and most tours include a round-trip transfer. However, if you do decide to rent a car, keep in mind that Mexico's driving and road rules can vary significantly from those in the U.S.
