Bridge to the Past
One bridge in particular stands out: the Ponte Vecchio, whose most striking feature is the multitude of shops built upon its edges, held up by stilts. It's the only bridge in the city to have survived World War II intact.

Chianti Country. Your Destination Concierge can arrange a driver for a wine-tasting day trip, so what's holding you back? Just an hour away, Greve in Chianti is one of the few officially recognized Chianti-producing regions in all of Italy. Pisa. Just 40 minutes or so by train, Pisa still feels like an entirely fresh look at Italy. The Leaning Tower (Torre Pendente) is a no-brainer, but strolling through the beautiful Campo dei Miracoli might be the highlight. Pisa is meant to be walked, and you'll want to visit the Duomo di Pisa, which houses artwork by Giambologna and Della Robbia, and the Battistero.
Venice. The ride to Venice is closer to two hours, but you'll have a comfortable home to return to, so go ahead and discover the inimitable romance of the city the New York Times once called, "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man." Wander the alleyways looking for unique artisans; let a gondolier show you the city via canal; and gaze at the awe-inspiring ceiling art of the ancient marble churches.
