Along the western edge of Marbella and spanning 4 miles to connect to Puerto Banús, the Golden Mile is a fully-developed string of luxury villas, businesses and a golf course. From this vantage point are some of the best views of the whole city. Many visitors to Marbella enjoy a leisurely stroll along its paths to take in the sights and sounds of the coast.
Avenida del Mar. A pedestrian area named the Paseo Maritimo features waterfalls, peaceful benches for sitting and expansive views of the sea below. Adding to its splendor is a collection of sculptures by none other than Salvador Dali himself. Near the Paseo Maritimo you will find a variety of dining options.
Puerto Deportivo. At this harbor, find the booth that sells tickets to pay for a boat trip to Puerto Banús or continue your walk to Playa de la Fontanilla, a clean and well-cared for beach.

Rail Terminus
If you decide against a rental car, satisfy your wanderlust by train. The Málaga rail terminus runs 12 high-speed trains daily from Madrid. The trip ranges from two to three hours in length and trains to Seville and Barcelona are also available.
